So I decided to do sort of like a collection of ten of my favorite actors and actresses from way back to see what they look like these days. I must say they have aged quite gracefully but some of them have not been so lucky...?! Shout out to you Sanjeev Kumar, Rest on!
A sequel to Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish; Krrish 3 dishes out a double dose of Hrithik Roshan. Pairing with Priyanka Chopra again and supported by Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi. This one right here is my son's absolute favorite; I love it too! 😍 And why not, it's super hero HR and his dreamy green eyes 😍😍😍
So we have seen how Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) moves from being mentally disabled to having super powers in Koi Mil Gaya ✔ Seen how his son Krishna (Hrithik Roshan) inherits his powers and become a super hero by chance, moonlighting as Krrish ✔ I guess it is now time to just see how much more he can do with these powers... or find out that he has a brother who is evil 😏
Kaal (Vivek Oberoi), a handicapped evil genius who possess telekinetic powers creates an army of mutants. He also creates and spread a deadly disease in order to make huge profits by selling the antidote which can only be made from his blood.
The virus spreads fast through Mumbai but has no effect on Rohit, Krishna, and Priya (Krishna's wife played by Priyanka Chopra). Rohit, who is a scientist, thus makes an antidote from Krishna's blood and they save the people of Mumbai.
An enraged Kaal sends his mutants to attack Rohit and find out how he was able to make the antidote. In the process, they kidnap a pregnant Priya and take her to Kaal's laboratory; but this is not known to Krishna and Rohit as Kaya (Kangana Ranaut), a shapeshifter and one of Kaal's mutants take her place and live with them as Priya in order to get information on the antidote. While carrying out this assignment, Kaya begins to fall in love with Krishna.
Rohit travels to Singapore to find answers about one of Kaal's mutant who had been captured; here he is also kidnapped. Meanwhile, Krishna discovers the true identity of Kaya and is furious to find out that Priya had been kidnapped; and having fallen in love with Krishna, Kaya decides to help him rescue his wife.
At Kaal's laboratory, it is revealed that Kaal was Rohit's son who was created by an experiment conducted by Dr. Arya, who used to be Rohit's partner. Kaal uses Rohit's bone marrow to successfully cure his handicap. Meanwhile, Krrish is up and about rescuing Priya with the help of Kaya. He has a face off with Kaal, who has now adorned himself in steel armour, and is killed.
Oh! I forgot to mention that Kaal also killed Kaya for her disloyalty.
Deeply disturbed by his son's death, Rohit decides to use his failed experiment to bring dead tissues to life in order to save Krishna. This time, he absorbs the excess energy from himself, transfers it to revive Krishna and dies. My heart sank here! 😱
Kaal goes about terrorizing the city, gloating that he had killed their Krrish and asks them to surrender Priya.
Krrish emerges and after plenty fight and action scenes, Kaal is killed! 😌 And yes! Priya gives birth and the baby is seen flying from day 1!!!... That can only mean there is a Krrish 4 brewing somewhere 😩😏
--------------------------------------
The Krrish series is a fan favorite of my son but if I had to choose the best out of the three, I'd choose Koi Mil Gaya 😍; Rohit reminds me of Muna from Ghazab, so senile yet so cute... But with two Hrithiks! Krrish 3 could do no wrong.
Vivek! I absolutely loved him; a yummy villain he is... Kangana! With her outfit sewn to perfection. I often wondered how she breathe in those scenes where she wore it. Priyanka!!! I honestly thought she didn't have a lot to do unlike in the first Krrish. It felt like Krrish 3 belonged more to Kangana. And HR!... Those eyes and a perfectly built body. Need I say more?! 💓 And yes... my best song is 'God Allah Aur Bhagwan'. Its my son's best too 😃
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is what you get when a beautiful girl comes in between two best friends...! A love triangle with a lot of insecurities. The below scene depicts it all...
It is a beautifully crafted story of love as seen from the perspective of three different people; blessed with the creative pairing of SRK and Kajol with the very beautiful Rani 😍. Salman Khan also made an appearance in the movie.
Rahul (SRK) and Anjali (Kajol) are best friends in college. They are very popular students who do everything together to such extents that when they even have a fight, the whole school would know and help them patch up (as seen in the song Yeh Ladka Hai Deewana).
Rahul is a playboy and Anjali is a tomboy (a pretty one, if I might add 😊). They share a very close relationship but deny any romantic feeling for each other. Anjali is used to Rahul's flirting with the girls and is not bothered until Tina (Rani Mukherjee) shows up; a new student from London who is also the principal, Mr. Malhotra's (Anupam Kher) daughter.
Rahul is smitten by Tina's beauty and does everything he can to win her over. Anjali becomes insecure and is threatened by Tina's beauty and Rahul's obsession with her. She realises she was in love with Rahul but before she could declare her love to him; he declares his love for Tina to her. Anjali is heartbroken and leaves college; this scene was oh so teary. Rahul and Tina get married and have a daughter who they name Anjali (I will call her Anju to avoid confusion). Unfortunately, Tina dies after child birth from the complications of her pregnancy but before her death, she wrote eight letters, one for each of her daughter's first eight birthdays, and gives them to her mother in law (Farida Jalal). On her eight birthday, Anju scoops through all her presents just to read her mothers last and most important letter which narrates how Tina met Rahul; and gives Anju the responsibility of reuniting Rahul and Anjali. Under the pretext of attending a summer camp, Anju and her grandma, go in search of Anjali who was working at the camp. Rahul had not approved of Anju's going to the camp but she and her grandma went anyways 😊; they reach the camp, find Anjali, and lures Rahul there. Rahul reaches the camp and sees a different and 'girly' Anjali (she is no longer a tomboy - she wears sari - has long hair with beautiful make up)... This scene is my fav! The look on their faces when they saw each other; the clumsiness as they try to greet each other; the love that radiated from their faces; the emotions - Oh my heart - you will want to be in love!!! 😍
Rahul stays back at the camp for some days and finds himself falling in love with Anjali. Anjali's love for Rahul is also reignited but she feels guilty as she is already engaged to Aman (Salman Khan). She leaves the camp and asks her mother to get her married immediately to Aman. Rahul and his family attend the wedding; Anju goes missing at the venue (she went to plead with Aman not to marry Anjali); Rahul searches for her but finds Anjali and confesses his love to her silently... Oh! this scene... Kajol's beauty as a star shot by, SRK's tears as declares his love in sign language... Oh my days! 😍
Knowing how Rahul feels, Anjali becomes hesitant as she heads to the mandap for the wedding rituals; tears flow freely. Aman sees this and forcefully takes her hand and head for the mandap... or so we thought. He drags her to Rahul and releases her from their commitment, asking her to marry Rahul. Rahul and Anjali share a clumsy yet emotional hug and they get married... They live happily every after! I guess! 😃
------------------------------------- KKHH is my all time favorite love story. It has it's shortcomings but I will not dwell on them; permit me to be biased 😏. I am a sucker for SRK-Kajol jodi and this one is an evergreen favorite of mine. What I don't see as fair though, is how Anjali's love story had to wait for Tina to die before it blossomed. What if she hadn't died, what would have become of Anjali's love? I guess we will never know now... would we? Any-hoo, my favorite song is the melodious title track 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'
Five years after their collaboration in My Name Is Khan, Bollywood's most loved on-screen couple, ShahRukh Khan and Kajol paired up again for Rohit Shetty's Dilwale. The film also starred Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon in supporting roles. And to be honest, who wouldn't want to see a movie with these faces...
Kaali
(SRK) and Meera (Kajol), children of rival gang leaders, Dev Malik (Kabir Bedi)
and Randhir Bakshi (Vinod Khanna) fall in love (as told in a long flashback story) much
to the displeasure of Dev Malik who is very disgruntled with Randhir and is not happy with the relationship. He plots a wicked plan to kill Randhir and Kaali but
the unfortunate outcome fatally separate the lovers.
Fifteen
years after, Kaali (now Raj) and his younger brother Veer (Varun Dhawan), now
live in Bulgaria and run an auto workshop. Incidentally, Meera and her younger
sister Ishita (Kriti Sanon) too live in the same city; they run a restaurant.
Veer
meets and fall in love with Ishita; he plans to marry her and Raj goes to meet
her family. He is surprised to see Meera who does not agree to the
relationship; she does not even allow him to clear the misunderstanding from
their past and threatens to kill him if he crosses her path again.
Veer and
Ishita do not understand why they can’t be together and seek answers from their
siblings to no avail. Veer asks Raj’s friends, Shakti and Anwar, but they rather
cook up a story for him. With the help of his friend, Sidhu, and Ishita, they
plots schemes to get both lovers back together but they all fail.
Long
story short, Meera finds out the truth and agrees to the relationship of Veer
and Ishita; she also apologises to Raj for not believing him.
And there
is a wedding --- not the one you are thinking of 😁 ---- it’s the wedding of Siddhu and
Jenny (a side story which I intentionally left out). There is a commotion at
the wedding and Veer is beaten up by King’s men (King is another villain in
Bulgaria); this infuriates Raj who beats them mercilessly. King aims a shot at
Raj but Meera gets hit but did not die thankfully…

I am a
big FAN of SRK-Kajol Jodi… so when I received the trailer, personally from SRK if I
might add 😁, I fell in love with the movie. Car chases, gun battles, romance and comedy
(lots of it)! Comic relief was served by Johnny Lever, Boman Irani, Varun Sharma, and Sanjay Mishra.
There are a few errors in the film, as always, but the one unforgivable one was when Kaali's car somersaulted and remained upside down. I wondered why the direction of SRK's blood was going the other way?! 😒 Looks like gravity does not work in the film...
Any hoo... my best song is the romantic 'Gerua'... and why not?! It's SRK and Kajol serving us some major hotness with very beautiful scenery...
Please pardon the quality of some of the pictures, I am still a learner at this... XOXO
