Veteran Bollywood actor, Vinod Khanna, has died at age 70 in Mumbai after battling with advanced bladder cancer.
A statement from the hospital said: “Veteran actor and Member of Parliament Mr. Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma.”
A photo of him with his son and wife went viral during his stay at the hospital where he looked extremely weak and frail.
The actor has featured in about 146 films with memorable performances in Amar Akbar Anthony and Burning Train. He was last seen in the ShahRukh Khan's starrer, Dilwale (2015).
The late actor is survived by his wife Kavita Khanna and children; actors Akshaye and Rahul Khanna as well as Sakshi and Shradha.
