Today, I came across Forbes 2016 list of the highest paid actresses. Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone have made it to that list. While Deepika made it to top 10 actresses, Priyanka is number eight on the highest-paid TV actresses' list. 

Deepika and Priyanka, are currently dominating the west with their charm and acting prowess. While Deepika is all set to make her debut in Hollywood's XXX: The Return Of The Xander Cage alongside Vin Diesel, Priyanka will be seen in Baywatch reboot alongside Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. She has also been winning accolades for her role of Alex Parrish in Quantico which is in its second season. 

According to the list, Deepika earned $10 million while Priyanka is reported to have earned $11 million this year. These earnings are not purely for their cinematic projects; both compensate with their lucrative endorsements. This has also helped them hedge the deep gender pay gap in Bollywood to some extent. 

Deepika is the only Indian actresses on the Forbes' highest paid actresses list, ranking 10th. She made the cut with hits like Bajirao Mastani and Piku. Forbes said the Bangalore-bred Deepika, who made her Bollywood film debut in 2007 with Om Shanti Om, and thereafter starred in several films that have crossed the $150 million mark.

Priyanka is also new to the Forbes' highest paid TV actresses list, ranking 8th. Priyanka has been mentioned as a TV celeb by Forbes due to her work in Quantico getting her a lot of recognition in the US. 

Going by how much they earn, it is safe to say that Priyanka is the highest paid actress in India.
